The urban legend claimed that there existed a gay regiment on the island Gotland, Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video depicts the activities of a fictitious queer military unit on Gotland. The participants are all either LGBTQIA-persons or allies with a connection to the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video contains scenes with \u201cmilitary\u201d exercises, memorial ceremonies and a documentary styled statement from the captain of the company, played by myself.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project portrays symbolically the struggles that LGBTQIA-persons often face in order to be themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"P18\/Q - The Queer Company - 2017 - Trailer\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/182288043?h=fb21e29678&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay;
